here a few examples of smaller dreams, in some ways they are more accessible. a first step in a new investigation of the smaller space and its treasures from off cuts of the previous dreams...possible to replicate, mold, enlarge.....but is bigger better?
a taste of my new wonderland. playing in plasticine, dynamic, colourful and easy....i envisage these as big pieces, part of play grounds the size of trees.
Floor was born in Nairobi, Kenya and received her Masters in Geography of Developing Countries at the University of Amsterdam. She has ten years of experience in development and humanitarian relief in East Africa and East Asia. Currently as part of the International
Workshop at Metafora she is taking a pause to explore how her passion for Art can become a central part of her life.
Floor’s early work is focused on painting. They are translations of her personal inner and outer worlds in shape, texture and translucent layers of colour. They are inspired by the places she lives in and form a series of conversations between space and time. At present she is exploring a similar language with sculptural elements.
Floor has exhibited her work in Indonesia and Spain. This is her second group exhibition in Barcelona. Floor’s pieces are in private collections in Australia, Indonesia, Kenya, Netherlands, UK, Thailand, South Africa and USA
